Participants of the meeting, held on 10-11 September 2018, discussed the Pan Baltic Scope approach for testing the marine Green Infrastructure mapping, which covers the two major aspects:
- Identification of areas of high ecological value;
- Mapping of potential supply of ecosystem services.
Essential Fish Habitats group discussed and agreed on mapping for 7 species: cod, sprat (x2), herring, perch, pike-perch, and flounder. Both groups jointly discussed the potential future integration of Essential Fish Habitats in Green Infrastructure concept.
The first draft concept on Green Infrastructure expected to be prepared due December 2018.
