The 1st Workshop on Green Infrastructure (GI) and Essential Fish Habitats (EFH) was held on 29-30 May 2018 in Riga. The project partners, as well as invited researchers and competent authority representatives dealing with marine ecosystem management issues, attended the workshop.

The project partners introduced to the existing concepts and methodological approaches for mapping of GI as well as data availability on EFH. Further on the experience from different countries in mapping and modelling of marine ecological values, ecosystem services and cumulative pressures from human activities was presented.

The participants of the workshop discussed the concept of GI and its main forming components in marine environment.

During the parallel sessions, the detailed work plan of the project activities until the next workshop to be held in December 2018 was agreed.
